Lilac Alcohol Ink Painting

As you probably know, I really like Kellie's alcohol ink courses. This morning was looking out my window. Its beautiful out. The buds are out on the trees but no flowers yet. Can"t wait for my Lilacs to bloom. Decided to paint one instead, so got on line to the Udemy course I took way back. It's a Kellie Chasse course. Supplies for this course are not extensive. Alcohol artists will already have all that is needed.
Picture below is what I created this am.
It was done on a tile(from a charger plate set, which I picked up at a garage sale. You don't see those wavy lines even up close). It had ten of these little golden squares. I think, I'll do a series of flowers with the rest fo them.
Kellie is also one of the presenters at the Alcohol Ink Art Conference
Check out the presenters by clicking on the picture.
Don’t miss out. You get lifetime access to Kellie and 10 more awesome presenters. Click here for the conference.

Alcohol Ink Art Society

I first joined the Alcohol Ink Art Society in December of 2017. Last year I became a life member.
Today, I look at a few of the reasons why I think it's such an exceptional place for alcohol ink artists.
Join me for a look inside the inner workings of the Alcohol Ink Art Society.
I think the reason it's such a special place is it's the content; the scope and quality found on every page.
The section on Projects does include some of the videos in the video section, but there is also a post by Denise Ballencroft on how to make a holiday lamp, a 3 page Pdf with directions and pictures. There are more projects not in videos. There is also a downloadable section with a free ebooks. One is below, hidden with the pictures of videos.
Another section is on Techniques. again more videos and inspiration. Another project is making a Tic Tac Toe Board, Alcoholo Ink on Gourds and more.
The Video section has 33 teaching videos. See some of the video covers below.

Their is a full page of posts in the FAQ section which answers your questions on how to get started, on substrates. on markers, and more, and there is even a recipe for blending solution.
The website is full of ideas; in the Resources, you’ll find Alcohol Ink colour charts, colour wheel, recipes and ebooks...
I can't list everything, but I think you get the idea!

Sheryl Williams
Sheryl Williams’ name is almost synonymous with alcohol ink in online circles.
Hers was one of the first courses I took online. If you want precise instruction on how alcohol Inks work, how to paint with alcohol Inks, how to paint fur, or how to do portraits, you should check out her courses.
I’ve taken two of her courses and was not disappointed. Highly recommended.
Want a treat just looking at alcohol ink paintings? Check out her gallery. Some of her paintings are amazing.
Four things to love about her courses; there is a choice from beginner to advanced, there is a private Facebook group, and her short courses are reasonably priced, and you have lifetime access.
Sheryl offers knowledgeable teaching about alcohol ink painting in a friendly atmosphere!

Learn Love Create is a comprehensive alcohol ink online course which I took it last year.
I was impressed with the scope which would make it suitable to someone new at alcohol ink, has room for the growing alcohol inker, and certainly has enough meat in it to satisfy even the more seasoned artist.
One thing you should assure, when taking an online course, is whether or not you have lifetime access? You do with Learn Love Create.
Since completing the course, I have gone back to it a number of time to check techniques or tips (the abundance of tips is one of many the pluses I liked about this course).
Another great option You can take the full course or opt for weekly themes.
SandySandy is very knowledgeable and responds quickly and positively to posts and queries.
I'm happy to recommend this fun course.
